In the lobby of our hotel in Kauai, an open market of sorts was being held, and the booth that caught my eye was selling Chinese pretzels. Elena's Gourmet Pretzels has been creating Chinese pretzels in a variety of different flavors for several years.
I first saw her at a Farmers Market, but didn't have time to buy any pretzels, so I was excited to see her in the hotel lobby.
You can buy mini or regular sized bags of single flavor Chinese pretzels, or buy a multipack of flavors.
In addition to the original, flavors include Li Hing, Coconut, Liliko`i, and Cinnamon. She offers seasonal flavors as well.
The pretzels are light, crispy, and yummy!
If you want to buy some for omiyage, be sure to pack them carefully so they don't all break!
