I think Short N Sweet Bakery & Cafe has some of the best sandwiches in Hilo, utilizing their freshly baked bread. They recently moved to a different location (Hilo Shopping Center), and I decided to get some breakfast there (and of course, some sweets!).

The Breakfast Bowl comes with your choice of meat (I chose bacon) and cheese (I chose cheddar), on top of potatoes and eggs. It's a bit pricey for the size, but I appreciated the amount of bacon they put on top!
There is an array of sweets to choose form, and I chose a Chocolate Chip Cookie, Kohala Crunch Bar, and Chantilly Cupcake. I loved the chantilly frosting on the cupcake!
