There are several parking stalls, and the beginning of the hike is a well-paved road, but after that the trail is rocky, slippery, and also sketchy.
Rocks from above have fallen, and mother nature eroded some of the trail to points that are just a few feet across.
A misstep could mean you fall down into the river below.
Speaking of the river, we saw many people climb down the mountain to play in the stream, which I thought was crazy not only because of the steep descent, but also because of how cold it was!
Can you see the people down below? |
With the wind, it was easily in the 40s.
Despite the chill, I enjoyed seeing the different colors and types of foliage. The views of the mountains were pretty, and it was neat to see so many native plants.
Other than birds, we saw no other signs of wildlife, but it was a nice way to spend an hour!
