I finally made it to Brunch at Nami Kaze!
Ahi Belly Fish & Chips |
Kulolo Apple Caramel Pancakes |
People's Choice - Ginger Fired Chicken + Ahi Poke |
Triple Garlic Miso Mayo |
Small Kine Farm Mushroom Omelet |
Everything we ordered was so good - and I'd order everything again.
The Small Kine Farm Mushroom Omelet was not a typical omelet. It was a Chinese-style steamed egg, akin to chawanmushi, and topped with mushrooms, cheese, and tomatoes. Loved how savory it was!
The Ahi Belly "Fish & Chips" were so good - I couldn't stop eating the fries, and the Ahi Belly was cooked perfectly, and served with an addicting House Remoulade (I kept dipping the fries in it too!).
The People's Choice comes with the Ginger Fried Chicken and your choice of Ahi Poke (my friend chose the Triple Garlic Miso Mayo poke). I've had the Ginger Fried Chicken before, and it's a tasty nod to Chef Jason's Kaua`i, where ginger fried chicken is a popular dish.
Although I'm #TeamSavory when it comes to brunch, I had to order something sweet just to try, and I opted for the Kulolo Caramel Apple Pancakes. I'm not much of a pancake fan, but these pancakes were so light and fluffy, and although it looked terribly sweet, the sweetness was not overpowering at all. It was perfectly balanced, and I had a hard time stopping myself from eating nearly all of it myself.
Service was fantastic, and I'm so glad I finally tried Brunch at Nami Kaze!
