Celebrate Earth Day with These National Geographic Kids Book

Disclosure: Complimentary product was received for review purposes. All opinions are entirely my own.

E loves to read so of course we celebrate special occasions around here with what else, but a new book (and I have no problem with that!).

He also has a natural love for nature so when we were offered to review a few of National Geographic Kids new books for Earth Day -- how could we say no?

We chose two that were age appropriate for him (age four):

100 Ways to Make the World Better!

Filled with quite literally, 100 activities you and your family can do to give back. I love that the activities demonstrates kindness -- whether its for others, the environment, animals or ourselves -- which is something we are actively trying to practice and demonstrate in this house.

I can see this being a fun activity to just randomly flip through and pick one activity a week or month to do. Or go through with your child and have them pick an activity that speaks to them at that time.

The book features a variety of activities from being kind to an animal to taking the initiative to fix something without being asked that can be done in both big and small ways. I can't wait to see what E chooses first!

Since E has started preschool he has cultivated a real love for nature and plants (his mom is a real plant lover too!). I love that he will come home and ask about parts of a plant and can identify different flowers on walks so I think he'll love this book which features big bold photos and information not just on different plants, but on their parts as well as the role they play in our world. I might even need to let him take it to one of his show and shares with his classroom. :)

Let me know what your favorite nature books are so I can add them to my reading list!
