Disclosure: My meal was hosted.
While on a tour, the tour guide had recommended Kenney Seafood Restaurant for lunch, so of course we took his recommendation.
Kenney Seafood is a seafood market, with an adjacent, casual restaurant.
The menu is small, but you know you're getting the freshest seafood possible.
Prices are very reasonable as well, and you really get a lot of food for the price.
We got a platter of Boiled Crawfish, and one of the employees kindly demonstrated how to peel open and eat the crawfish, since this was our first experience with this popular New Orleans delicacy.
Boiled Crawfish is a must when visiting Louisiana!
I had the Fried Chicken platter, which included a lot of food. I ended up sharing some with one of my kids!

All platters were served with two sides of choice and a Crawfish Pie. Options for sides included Gumbo (my fave!), Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, Jambalaya, and Fried Okra.
The Jambalaya and Gumbo sides were delish, and if they had full size portions of either, I would definitely have ordered one or the other for my meal.
Kenney Seafood Restaurant was a great recommendation! I would highly recommended it as well, and you can definitely consider sharing platters, because they sure do give a lot of food!
