Hawaii Selfie Exhibit

Thank you to our sponsor for hosting our visit!

Looking for something fun that the entire family can participate in? Check out the Hawaii Selfie Exhibit, which just opened in Pearlridge Center, Wai Makai (a.k.a. Phase II, Downtown).  Bring your camera/phone, a group of friends or family, and create fun, lasting memories with photos using 3D props and walls painted with colorful themes and illusions.

Hawaii Mom Blog was invited to check out the Hawaii Selfie Exhibit, and it turned out to be one of the most fun and memorable moment of our winter break!

The exhibit is very bright, spacious, and colorful - perfect for taking endless amount of photos with different poses, backdrops (a.k.a. installations) and props.

My favorite stations was the red chair (which is the first one you see as you enter), and the scene where the boys appear to be hanging from picture frames on the wall (I won't reveal how this picture is taken - you'll have to visit the exhibit to see for yourself!).

Here are just some of the photos we took during our visit:

Things to know before you go:

  • Admission is $25 Monday thru Thursday (excluding holidays), $30 Friday thru Sunday and Holidays). No charge for kids under 3 years of age
  • It takes approximately 60-90 minutes to go through the exhibit (max time limit for your group is 90 minutes but it can be extended for an extra charge if there is no wait list)
  • There is no minimum or maximum number of people per group, but I would recommend having at least three people in your group (the more the merrier)
  • No in and out privileges

The twins and I really enjoyed our time here. It's something very unique and different from anything else that we have here, and it's an activity that people of all ages and abilities can participate in. The staff is very helpful if you tips on how to frame your shot or position your subjects. Don't be afraid to ask for help - that's what they're there for!

The exhibit is here for only a limited time. They are anticipating to be at Pearlridge Center at least through the summer 2024.
