The day we went was a game day (American football had a game in London), so the place was packed, but they had run out of a lot of food by dinner.
After being told a lot of what we ordered had run out, we ended up with:
Cheese, Mustard, and Onion Straws |
I thought the Cheese, Mustard, and Onion Straws, served with an Aubergine Chutney, was just okay. The flavors worked well together, but the straws themselves were a little too chewy.
Sharing Pie Board for 2 |
The Sharing Pie Board for 2 is great for those who can't decide what to get, and / or want a little bit of everything. It consisted of a mini steak & London Pride pie, chicken, bacon & leek pie, squash & sweet potato vegan curry pie, Cornish pasty, mash, Marmite potatoes, roasted heritage carrots, roasted heritage beetroot and roasted shallots, seasonal hispi cabbage, leeks and peas, and red wine gravy.
I really enjoyed the chicken, bacon, and leek pie, and the mash was really good too!
The Admiralty is a family-friendly restaurant in an ideal location, and the service was good. It's just too bad they were out of so many foods!
