Visit London: Borough Market

One of the must-dos for me while in London was to visit Borough Market.  I love visiting food halls / markets, and it was quite overwhelming the first time we went.  There were so many food stalls - the options were just dizzying.

But then I saw someone walking around with a cup full of chocolate-covered strawberries, and I said to myself "I need to find that."  Fortunately, I was already standing right next to the vendor.

Something so simple - chocolate and strawberries, and yet so amazing.  The strawberries and chocolate were both quality, so combined, they were excellent!  Such a wonderful treat!

We also picked up some juices at Turnips.

We first went on a weekday, and although crowded, lines were not too crazy.  We then went on a weekend, and the lines were very long for many vendors, and the crowd was probably five times as much as the previous visit.

The second time we visited, I decided to stand in a line that I noticed the first time I went. It was for Wild Mushroom Risotto, also from Turnips.

The line moved quite quickly.  It was a very generous, cheesy serving of risotto.  I love risotto and mushrooms, and although I wish they eased up on the cheese, it was still really good.

Other food finds included:
Sausage Rolls / Ginger Pig
Scotch Egg / Ginger Pig

Ice Cream / Marshfield Farm

There are very minimal places to sit, so don't be surprised if you have to find a space on the sidewalk to sit down and eat.  It's all a part of the experience!
