All throughout North Carolina we saw
Bonjangles - a fast food fried chicken chain with headquarters in the state, and we couldn't leave Charlotte without giving it a try!

I must say - I really enjoyed the chicken, and all the sides! There are a lot of great fried chicken fast food chains, and for me, this ranks up there. I thought the chicken was seasoned well, the skin nice and crispy, and the meat was tender and juicy. I think another fast food fried chicken chain has a slight edge on the seasoning and the crispy skin, but I think Bojangles is a winner when it comes to the sides. The biscuits were great (although my husband thought they were on the salty side), and I loved the gravy, pimento cheese, mashed potatoes, and especially the dirty rice.
I highly recommend giving Bojangles a try if you love fried chicken!
