CLEAR

I've seen the CLEAR stations being set up in Hawaii, and as of this post, it has yet to officially launch.

Because of our frequent travels, as well as a credit card perk, our family enrolled in CLEAR a couple years ago.  We do also have Global Entry (which comes with TSA Precheck).

There were a couple of times we've used CLEAR - and each time it was when we had to complete our enrollment (my husband and I enrolled separately via our respective credit cards and at different airports).

If you have both TSA Precheck and CLEAR, you are escorted to the front of the TSA Precheck line.  It can be a huge benefit when traveling through airports with notoriously long Precheck lines.

If you don't have Precheck, you'll get escorted to the front of the General Security line.

If there is a long line of people enrolling or getting "CLEARED" (scanning their biometrics) in the CLEAR lane, however, it may be faster to just stay in the TSA Precheck line (which has been our experience a few times), or even the General Security line, at some airports.

If you frequent airports with TSA / Precheck lines that are often long, your credit card offers a perk, or you want an alternative option to clear security just in case, definitely look into getting CLEAR.

Do you have CLEAR?  Will you be getting it?
