Visit Japan: MiPig Cafe

On a recent trip to Japan, we visited a Mipig Cafe where you can get up and close to micro pigs. Appointments are made by reservation only and you can choose as little as a 30 minute visit.
One of the purposes of the cafe is for the micro pigs to learn to be social with people as adult micro pigs can be purchased.

When we arrived at the cafe, we put away our belongings in a locker and changed into provided slippers. We were then seated at a table and provided the rules like not picking up the micro pigs as they get stressed and only letting them come to you. At one point I had several micro pigs on my lap where I got a little overwhelmed, but my son loved it! They are very cute and will just snuggle on your lap and may even fall asleep.

Cozy cafe where the micro pigs can roam.

The micro pigs are very tame.

They like to snuggle.
