Visit Hilo: Poke Market

I love that I can now get musubi at Poke Market!

The first time I ever went to Poke Market was in 2018 at the recommendation of a friend. 1 rarely eat raw fish, but since I was with @melissa808, @crysmy, and @yumiozaki on that visit, I suggested we go so they could give it a try (and I trusted my friend's recommendation). There, I met Chef Ernie and his wife Mariah, who said "There's always one in each group. You're the friend that doesn't eat raw fish ... " and everyone laughed because I was indeed that friend.

I'm still that friend that doesn't eat raw fish, so l'm super happy a few months ago Poke Market started offering musubi with all kinds of fixins'! I got Salmon Skin, Eggplant, Shrimp + Avo, Bacon + Kabocha, and Teri SPAM.

My faves were the Salmon Skin and the Bacon + Kabocha.

And they have humungous Monsta cookies!  The cookie was soft and chewy, and lasted me a few days - it was just that huge!

I don't know anywhere else on the Big Island that offers the varieties of musubis they do.

Of course, you can still get poke bowls, but I hope they keep making the musubi!  They are perfect for any time of day, any place, and are a convenient, easy-to-eat meal!

I can't wait to see what other kinds of musubis they'll come up with!
