Visit Hong Kong: Cheung Hing Kee Shanghai Pan-Fried Buns

We stumbled upon a Michelin Guide-recommended eatery, Cheung Hing Kee, as we were walking to another eatery for a late-night snack.  I saw the long line, and figured if there's a line, it must be good.

They were selling Shanghai Pan-Fried Buns, which they make and fry on-site.  A big window allows you to watch them in action while waiting in line.

They sell all sorts of buns, and we got a variety, including the Signature Pan-Fried Buns, Pan-fried Buns with Hot and Numbing (which meant spicy), and Pan-fried Buns with Black Truffle.

They were really good! They were soft on top, crispy on the bottom, and full of tasty filling and broth.

It was a great find for a savory snack!
