Visit Hong Kong: Crusta

One of the not-so-great dining experiences in Hong Kong took place at Crusta. The food was fine, but the service was lacking and they forgot to give us an item.

Crusta specializes in pizzas, crustas, and baked rice.

We stopped in to order take-out.

All I wanted was a crusta and fries - nothing else, but the employee was very rude, asking why I didn't just get a combo. I explained I only wanted a crusta and fries and nothing else.  But again, he insisted I get a combo, and again, I said I didn't want the extras (fries + salad + drink + chicken wing).

After a few minutes of back and forth, he finally put in my order for a crusta and fries.

After everyone in the family put in their orders, we were quoted a 15-20-minute wait.

It turned out to be 50 minutes.

And after returning to the hotel with our bags of food and even asking the employee to make sure all the fries were in the bag, they forgot my fries.  Yes, we could've checked, but at that point, after nearly an hour of waiting outside in the rain (the eatery is too tiny to wait for takeout), everyone was fussy and wanted to get out of there.

They did give us 3 cookies to apologize for the lengthy wait.

As for the food . . .

A crusta is basically a mashed potato-filled crust with a filling. I had the Bombay Chicken variety, which I thought was okay.

Everyone else got pizza combos.

US Premium Sausage on a Zucchini and Garlic Base

Seafood with Honey Potato

Tokyo Fired Grilled Beef

Teriyaki Chicken Wing

Each combo comes with a Teriyaki Chicken Wing, choice of Cole Slaw or Vinaigrette Salad, and choice of fries.

Potato Fritters

Everyone ate up their combos - it was just disappointing the service was poor.
