Dinner at Rinka Japanese Restaurant

To celebrate my mom's birthday, we took her to Rinka in Ward Village. I had dined here previously on many occasions for lunch, but never for dinner. As usual, the restaurant was busy, yet the service was good and we didn't have to wait long for our food to come out (as is sometimes the case when restaurants are busy). This was the first time my mom dined here and she really liked the food.

Here's what we ordered:

Tuna Roll for the son, because he loves tekka maki now!

Miso Butterfish Set

Sushi Set

Close-up of the sushi!

Chirashi Bowl

Complimentary dessert for mom

Strawberry Mochi with Matcha Tea

They have an ala carte menu as well, but we preferred to get the full sets because it came with so many shareable items, like the tempura, udon, etc. Since they don't have menu for keiki, the boys shared our sets with us and it was the perfect amount of food for all of us.

Reservations are highly recommended. The closest places to park are either in the building (Wholefoods, makai side) or in the parking lot under the theaters/Dave and Busters).
