Visit Kailua-Kona: Breakfast at Moana

I recently had one of the best breakfasts in recent memory at Moana at the Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort.

Tropical Fruit Platter
We started off with a Tropical Fruit Platter, including fruits grown by Chef Helen Hong.

Pomme Rösti
I thought the Pomme Rösti was the best l've had anywhere!  It was as beautiful as it was delicious.

Braised Beef Cheeks

The Braised Beef Cheeks is not on the breakfast menu, but I'm so happy Chef Chad Yamamoto served it to us.  I rarely eat beef, but I devoured the entire bowl.  The beef cheeks were so tender and flavorful.
Japanese Breakfast Bento

I enjoyed every component of the Japanese Breakfast Bento, which included mahi, nori tamago, pickled vegetables, miso soup, and rice.

I was very impressed with the breakfast options at Moana, especially considering the restaurant is at a resort.  It was unlike other breakfasts I've experienced at other local resorts in recent months, where you get typical breakfast options that are familiar, but not so creative.  I very much appreciated the creativity and the variety offered at Moana.

You don't need to be staying at the resort to dine at Moana, so if you're looking for a great option for breakfast on the Kona side (with gorgeous views), go check it out!
