STRIPSTEAK, A MICHAEL MINA RESTAURANT ADDS MORE STEAKHOUSE CLASSIC DISHES, SOME WITH A LOCAL TWIST

StripSteak, A Michael Mina Restaurant recently introduced a selection of new menu items, crafted by Executive Chef Garrick Mendoza.  The dishes draw inspiration from classic steakhouse fare, reimagined with local flavors.  Timed with this launch is a new promotion for locals offering free four-hour parking in the International Market Place with the purchase of any entree.  Kama’aina simply need to present a valid Hawaii State Driver’s License or State ID to qualify for this offer.

 

The new menu items include:

 

·       Chilled Shellfish, a seafood platter that comes in two sizes: 

o   Petite ($99) with 4 shrimp cocktail, 4 Pacific oysters, ½ lobster

o   Grand ($240) with 6 shrimp cocktail, 6 Pacific oysters, whole lobster, and ½ pound king crab


·       Truffle-Miso Soup ($16) with silken tofu, honshimeji, and local scallion


·       Beef Carpaccio ($31) with somen noodle, peanut vinaigrette, and coriander chutney


·       Heirloom Tomato & Nectarine ($25) with burrata, cucumber, aged balsamic, and hot honey


·       Oyster Rockefeller ($40) with bacon, spinach, kimchee, and three-cheese Sauce Mornay


·       20 oz. Spice-Rubbed Lamb Rack ($92) featuring lamb from New Zealand


·       Fried Brussels Sprouts ($17) with S.O.S. sauce, togarashi, and peanuts

 

“We've introduced some exciting and innovative takes on traditional steakhouse presentations, giving a distinctive StripSteak, A Michael Mina Restaurant flair to our menu,” shares Garrick Mendoza, Executive Chef.  “These dishes showcase flavors cherished by Hawaii locals and sought out by visitors to the island.”

 

Located on the International Market Place’s third-level Grand Lanai at 2330 Kalākaua Avenue, STRIPSTEAK Waikiki serves dinner nightly from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a happy hour from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  The restaurant offers expansive indoor and outdoor seating. Reservations are highly recommended. Validated self-parking is available at the International Market Place.
