Kenko-Ya Japanese Restaurant

Kenko-Ya in Kaneohe has been on our list of places to try for a long time, but every time we tried to dine here, there was a long wait for a table. Recently we finally came at a time when there was no wait for a table!

Teishoku and combination meals come with appetizers, miso soup, and salad.

We tried some nigiri and a chirashi bowl - it did not disappoint. The pieces of fish were generous in size, and fresh-tasting.

The portions for the teishoku meals are huge! It's definitely sharable in size.

The Sukiyaki was also large and I took half of it home. I really liked the flavor of the sukiyaki broth.

Now we know why this place is so popular - portions are generous, the service is friendly and quick. We're definitely going to put this on our go-to list!

Reservations are accepted for parties of 5 or more.
Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
