Onkee Korean Grill House

Onkee Korean Grill House has been on my radar ever since they opened.  I recently had lunch there with one of my mentors.
Cucumber Soup and Kimchi
The meal started off with a refreshing Cucumber Soup and Kimchi.

We each got a combo set.  You choose a main dish and either a stew or noodle dish (my mentor got Combo 2 with Stir-Fried Pork and Bibim-noengmyeon, pictured above).

Combo 1

I got Combo 1, and opted for LA Marinated Short Ribs and Kimchi Stew.  The short ribs were juicy and tender, the kimchi stew was comforting with chunks of pork and lots of spice.  It was my favorite part of the combo!
Bingsu
I was not planning on getting any dessert, but my mentor asked what kinds of desserts there were.  As soon as I heard "Bingsu," I changed my mind.

The super fine shave ice was delightful with the kinako, condensed milk, and red beans.

You only have 90 minutes allotted for lunch, so service was rushed - the restaurant was really packed!

Definitely look forward to returning!
