Visit Utah: Woodward Park City Tubing

One of the things my kids wanted to do while in Utah was tubing, so we bought tickets for Woodward Park City.

In addition to tubing, Woodward Park has all sorts of adventures - skiing, snowboarding, skate park, trampoline park.

We went during peak season so tickets were pretty pricey ($89 / pp for 2 hours), and tickets do sell out in advance.

Upon arrival, you go to a kiosk to scan your confirmation QR code to get your tickets.  The first one we went to broke down during the scanning, but luckily there were a few others to use.

We picked the earliest time slot, thinking we would beat the crowds.  We were the first ones at the entrance, but the tubing opened up 10 minutes late, so as we waited, the line started growing.

Once we got the go ahead to enter, we all grabbed our tubes, went through the gates, and went on the "magic carpet" to get to the top of the highest hill.

Getting thought the gates was easy, as your ticket stays in your jacket pocket and automatically scans so you can go through - no need to take out your ticket each time.

There are lower lanes for younger kids, and the upper lane goes down 1200 feet.

There are 7 lanes at the top hill, so any wait period is not very long.

What is really fun is that you can go down with others at the same time, in the same line!  On our first ride, our family of 5 went all together.  We held each other's tubes as we went down the 1200-foot lane.  It went by in just seconds (super fun, but I disliked the spinning).

Of course, dress warmly.  It was snowing pretty hard while we were there, and it sure was cold!

There was ample seating indoors to warm up, and the upper food concession was open for snacks and hot cocoa.

Even though there are magic carpets to get to the top hill, there is still a lot of walking to do to get to each magic carpet, and walking in the snow is tiring in itself.  It was quite a workout!

The two hours went by pretty quickly, and depending on the crowds and how long it takes to get to the top, the amount of rides you can get in in two hours can vary (it takes at least 10 minutes to get to the top with average crowds).

We all had a blast!

You can see one of my rides here on my IG.
