Black Angus Steakhouse

We recently visited Black Angus in Pearl City, thanks to a thoughtful gift from our niece — a Groupon for the "Campfire Feast for Two." We were excited to try it out and enjoy a cozy, relaxing dinner without the boys (with the Groupon came a 'coupon' for babysitting!).

The "Campfire Feast for Two" package includes one appetizer, two entrees (each served with two sides), and one dessert. After scanning the menu, we decided to go with the crab cakes as our appetizer. They were crispy and flavorful, a solid start to the meal!

For my entrée, I opted for the shrimp, paired with a bowl of creamy chowder and green beans as my sides. The shrimp were tender, and the chowder was warm and comforting.

The hubby chose the salmon for his main course, paired with a baked potato and grilled beans. The salmon was well-cooked. The baked potato was perfectly done, and the grilled beans had a nice smokiness to them, which complemented the salmon well.

Now, let’s talk about the dessert: the sky-high mud pie. This indulgent treat did not disappoint! It was rich, creamy, and just the right balance of chocolate and crunch. It was definitely the highlight of the meal, and we both thoroughly enjoyed it.

Overall, our experience at Black Angus was a good one. While the food wasn’t the best we’ve ever had, it wasn’t bad by any means. The service was friendly, the ambiance was cozy, and we left feeling satisfied. If you’re in Pearl City and looking for a solid, no-fuss meal, Black Angus offers a nice dining experience — and the Campfire Feast for Two is a great way to indulge without breaking the bank.
