When the strap of my favorite crossbody bag broke, I took it to the Louis Vuitton store in Ala Moana shopping center to see how much it would cost to repair. The quote was $300 to replace the strap which was pretty hefty given that I had originally paid about $800 for the bag 16 years ago.

I remember hearing good things about McCully Shoe and Luggage repair so I stopped by to see if he could sew the strap back. He took a quick look and went to work. Minutes later, he handed back the bag and charged me $10. I was very happy that I could use my bag again!

Full disclosure: many Yelp reviews will warn you of the gruff owner and I found this to be true. If you aren’t easily offended, you will be okay! The store is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm and is cash only. Parking is available in the back of the building.
