MW Restaurant

This past Friday, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at MW Restaurant, a place that’s always been a favorite of ours. The last time we dined here, the restaurant was still located down the road in its original spot. But now, they’ve moved into a sleek new location in the Symphony Building, perched on the second floor. The transition to this vibrant new space appears to have been seamless, and our recent visit reminded us just how much we love this place.

First, let’s talk parking — a bit of a mixed bag. While the good news is that the restaurant's entrance is just a short hop and skip from the parking lot, there's a mandatory $6 valet fee for parking. It’s not a dealbreaker by any means, but it's something to keep in mind if you’re planning to drive. Once inside, the cozy, modern ambiance of the restaurant makes you feel right at home.

We had the pleasure of dining with a couple of gift cards, which made the experience even more special. Thank you to Gem for that thoughtful gift! The night was filled with great food, great conversation, and exceptional service.

For starters, we shared three appetizers. Our server recommended the arancini, which we were more than happy to try, and it did not disappoint. Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, it was the perfect bite.

Next, we dove into the crab cakes, a classic favorite. They were wonderfully flaky and packed with flavor, easily some of the best crab cakes we've had.

The inari bombs rounded out our appetizer selection, and they were a fun and unique twist on a traditional Japanese dish — packed with a delicious filling and wrapped in delicate tofu skin.

All three appetizers were incredible, setting the stage for what was to come.

For the main course, we chose the butterfish, which was very tender and flavorful.  It was silky soft, with a rich taste that melted in our mouths.

Of course, no meal is complete without dessert. We couldn’t resist ordering the Black Forest, which is a classic and iconic dessert. The combination of chocolate mochi fudge brownie, port poached cherries, and vanilla bean ice cream made this the perfect sweet ending to our dinner.

And before we left, our server gave us a couple of MW cookies to take home!

Throughout the evening, our service was impeccable. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making us feel well taken care of from start to finish. The atmosphere was relaxing and warm. It was the perfect place to wind down after a busy week.

Thanks to Gem for the gift card and for making this evening possible. Can’t wait to return soon!
